First major volumetric factory project successfully delivered in the USA.

Dodd Modular has recently completed a major contract to provide design services for an overhead rail and crane system for Modern Living Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Greystar; at their new modular facility in Knox, Pennsylvania.

Dodd was also contracted to manufacture and install the overhead rail system which provides easy movement and storage of completed walls and ceilings from the framing lines to the box build area.

Anthony Gaskell, Dodd Modular MD commented “This exciting project showcased Dodd’s innovative design approach and engineering capabilities to solve the process and logistical challenges on this project”.

The wall overhead rail system is capable of moving and storing up over 100 individual panels over 400 yards of hanging rail.

Dodd designed the box build crane system, Kone (US) supplied the main cranes and Dodd supplied the lifting mechanisms and interfaces.
